Everyone thinks that their own Spotify playlist is the best in the world, and we aren’t here to tell you different. We just listened to your ‘80s disco playlist, and we actually love it. We’re here to talk about a different kind of Spotify playlist today: relaxing playlists. Experts say that the most relaxing sounds are the ones that don’t change too much, and there are actually playlists on Spotify that are filled with relaxing and non-distracting sounds. Whether they’re based around coffee shop classics or piano ballads, these are playlists you don’t wanna skip when you’re in the mood to relax.
Calm Vibes by Spotify
Spotify knows their stuff, so you can be sure that any playlist they make is going to live up to its name. This particular playlist is made up of gorgeous piano tracks that skirt the line between active and passive listening. If you want to sit for a moment and lose yourself in the notes, you can.
But if you want to just put some music in the background while you’re studying, working on a project, or trying to fall asleep, these songs work just as well. None of the songs are too long either, so there’s a nice sense of progression without it ever grabbing your attention too much. Well done, Spotify. This one’s a keeper. Playlist here

Coffee and Chill by Spotify
Here’s another that comes directly from Spotify themselves. This one is definitely a bit more active and distracting than the previous playlist, but the song selection is good enough that it’s worth checking out. The concept behind the playlist is that the song selection mirrors that which you might hear while just hanging out and relaxing in a coffee shop.
Most of us have spent far too much time at home lately, and that makes the feeling of escapism in this playlist just perfect. If you were ever someone who loved to head to your local coffee joint to get some work done, these tracks are for you. We can almost smell the lattes… Playlist here

Meditation Relaxation by Meditation Relaxation Club
If those playlists were a little too busy for you, we think that this one might be right up your alley. Designed specifically to be a sonic accompaniment to meditation, this playlist is about as chill as it gets. Most songs have a spacey, ambient feeling to them, and they will immediately help you relax and forget about the world around you.
This playlist also doubles as a great one to put on quietly when you’re trying to sleep, as it really is that relaxing. There are also a few piano tracks mixed in here and there, and they are always a nice break to the walls of sound that are found in the other songs. Playlist here

Deep Sleep by Spotify
Having trouble falling asleep? Spotify’s got your back. This playlist is about as minimalist as it gets, and each track has an incredibly slow tempo that is within a range that is scientifically proven to help you catch some Z’s. The playlist is also long, meaning that it can play the entire time that you’re asleep without repeating.
Not that you’ll really notice repeat tracks while you’re snoring, but hey, it’s a nice touch. This playlist could also be played in the background while you’re working on a writing project. All of the songs are instrumental, meaning there won’t be any lyrics to distract you from getting some work done. Oh ambient drone, what a wonderful, incredibly relaxing type of music you are!
